Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Controlled Substance Analyst to join the team and support the Controlled Substance Steering Committee and Medication Safety Committee. The role focuses on analysis of the Controlled Substance Monitoring and Diversion Prevention Program, refining processes, and ensuring patient safety.

The position involves data compilation, record maintenance, and reporting suspicious activity based on skilled analysis, with collaboration across Pharmacy and Nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with the Mn Board of Pharmacy.
• Current certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Two years hospital or healthcare system pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates monitoring of controlled substances for diversion prevention and detection.
• Analyzes patterns and provides oversight for daily operations.
• Provides analytical support for compliance, quality and safety initiatives.
• Coordinates audits and training related to quality and compliance standards.
• Assists leadership with organizing education, presentations, and medication management compliance.
• Audits and adjusts billing discrepancies.
