Job summary

University Health - Palo Alto Hospital is seeking a skilled technician for HVAC systems maintenance. The role requires expertise in electronic and pneumatic controls, ensuring optimal performance of facilities equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, an associate degree in Electronics preferred, and significant experience in HVAC repairs, specifically with systems by Honeywell and Johnson.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in Pneumatic, Electronic and Electro-Mechanical Controls Maintenance and Repair.
• Five years’ experience in repairing Honeywell and Johnson and/or other HVAC controls.
• Valid Texas State driver’s license Class C required.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide highly technical skills in the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electric, electronic, direct digital and pneumatic controls associated with HVAC, Building Automation Systems and other related Systems. Monitors, synchronizes, repairs and maintains the controlling mechanism required for efficient and proper operation of Facilities Management equipment throughout the facilities of University Health System. Complies with the Health System and departmental policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Associates degree in Electronics is preferred. Three years’ experience in Pneumatic, Electronic and Electro-Mechanical Controls Maintenance and Repair is preferred. Five years’ experience in repairing Honeywell and Johnson and/or other HVAC controls in large facilities is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Must possess a valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and insurable by the Health System.
