Electronics Technician – Security Systems

Overview:

We are hiring an Electronics Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and service security control and monitoring systems for correctional, government, and commercial sites. The role reports to the VP of Operations. Key skills include hands-on technical expertise, leadership ability, and strong customer service skills.

What You'll Do:

1. Install, test, and commission access control, video, locking, and communication systems.
2. Troubleshoot and service installed systems; prepare reports.
3. Lead and coordinate with technicians, engineers, and subcontractors.
4. Assist in estimating projects and maintaining schedules and budgets.
5. Support the design of security systems (video, access control, etc.).
6. Develop installation procedures to improve quality and efficiency.

What You Need:

1. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office.
2. Strong knowledge of IP networks, security cameras, access control, and troubleshooting systems.
3. Experience in designing security layouts is a plus.
4. Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
5. Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
6. Willingness to travel frequently, including day and overnight trips.
