Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Control Systems Technician II to support installation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of facility-wide automation at our Fort Worth site. You will work with Control Systems Engineers to ensure reliable operation of PLCs, SCADA systems, and related hardware within a GMP-influenced environment.

The role requires a technical degree in HVAC or electrical tech, HVAC certification, and at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Required: Technical degree in HVAC or electrical tech and HVAC certification.
4 years of relevant experience in control systems or engineering support.
Experience with building automation systems and regulatory environments (GxP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support for troubleshooting automation systems across manufacturing and facility operations.
Install, modify, maintain, and improve campus-wide control systems including HVAC and energy plant systems.
Perform IQ/OQ validation activities for automation and control systems.
Read electrical schematics and P&IDs to diagnose issues and implement fixes.
Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, control programs, and network architecture.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors on system upgrades and modifications.
Ensure SOPs are followed and regulatory requirements are met.
