Job summary

KNAPP North America is seeking a Technical Training and Employee Development specialist to mentor and train staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and ISO-aligned training standards. You will design programmes, deliver them across multiple formats, and serve as the liaison for training-related topics with interfacing departments.

Responsibilities include developing tests, documenting processes, and driving continuous improvement in training and safety practices across the organization,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with control systems (PLC, Low voltage).
  • 1-2 years experience in designing and teaching technical course content.
  • Hands on experience using PLC control systems: Siemens S7, TIA, or similar.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of low voltage control wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with conveyor systems and warehouse logistics.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of safety guidelines in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver professional training programs aligned with global subsidiary standards.
  • Design effective didactic training structures based on ISO 9001.
  • Communicate complex technical subjects in writing and verbally.
  • Conduct trainings in various settings (individual, group, online, in-person).
  • Create instruction plans with installation, commissioning, safety, and logistics teams.
  • Develop product guides with development and related departments.

What You Get To Do

The primary function of this position is to provide direct mentoring to new and existing employees to train and develop their professional skills. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance and accuracy of processes and instructions related to employee training, employee development and customer training.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Technical Training
  • Develop and deliver professional training programs in alignment with global subsidiary standards
  • Design effective and high-quality didactic training structure based on ISO 9001
  • Effectively communicate complex technical subjects, both verbally and in writing
  • Conduct training in various settings (individual, group, online, in-person, hands-on)
  • Participate in internal and external organization of trainings
Employee Development
  • Identify training needs based on employee competency matrix
  • Work with managers to create employee development plan
  • Develop tests and knowledge assessments to monitor training progress
Technical Documentation
  • Create instruction plans together with installation, commissioning, safety, tools & supply chain specialists
  • Create product guides together with the development and associated departments
  • Be the contact person for the interfacing departments for training and topics relevant to employee development
Continuous Improvement
  • Initiate continuous improvement process in alignment with quality agendas
What You Have
  • Bachelor Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with control systems (PLC, Low voltage)
  • 1-2 years experience in designing and teaching technical course content
  • Hands on experience using PLC control systems:
  • Siemens S7, TIA, or similar programming platforms
  • Programming and commissioning of automated systems
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of low voltage control wiring and troubleshooting skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with conveyor systems and warehouse logistics
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of safety guidelines in an industrial environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced Management, leadership, and motivational skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced IT and MS Office knowledge
  • Intermediate to Advanced organizational skills
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Encourage professional development and growth opportunities
Working Conditions and Environment
  • Travel required up to 30%
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Physical requirements may include:Sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm’s length, climbing, reaching overhead, lifting between 50-100 pounds, and reading
