NextDecade is seeking a Specialist, Control Systems in Brownsville, TX. The role focuses on safe execution of control systems activities, including breakdowns, corrective and preventive maintenance, ensuring safe and sustainable operation of the asset.

Ideal candidates have LNG control systems experience, strong knowledge of SIS/ESD, CMMS (SAP), and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines while maintaining a high safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Safety Critical Elements (SCE) testing and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of SIS and emergency shutdown systems (ESD).
• Experience maintaining LNG control systems and related instrumentation.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP or similar).
• Ability to interpret P&ID, ISO, GA and related diagrams.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proactive safety in all aspects of the role.
• Communicate with maintenance disciplines to uphold One-Team approach.
• Execute control system activities for SCE testing and regulatory compliance.
• Write, review and update safety-critical testing procedures.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and modifications to improve reliability.
• Optimize control loops with operations and process engineers.
• Assist in tuning PID controllers and control algorithms.
• Coordinate with vendors for software updates and hardware replacements.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and CMMS entries.
• Participate in Major Maintenance Turnaround support and HSSE meetings.
