Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a control systems engineer to design and develop software for industrial equipment in Houston. The role includes creating documentation for commissioning processes, providing field support, and training customers and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.

You will generate reports on software verification, modify existing code, and create structured PLC programs. Proficiency with Siemens FactoryLink, Proficy iFix, and Wonderware Intouch is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred or 3+ years related experience in control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems software.
• Assist in creating documentation for commissioning and software processes.
• Provide field support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for NOV control systems.
• Train customers and field service technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Generate reports on software verification and testing.
• Modify existing software per engineering guidelines.
• Generate organized, structured PLC code, with Siemens environment.
• Create HMI screens for complex machinery using Wonderware Intouch, Proficy iFix, and Siemens FactoryLink.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring, and logic diagrams.
• Participate in project teams, providing cost estimates, schedules, and project documentation.
