Job summary

Xcimer Energy is seeking a Control Systems Project Lead – Applied Science to own and deliver the controls, data acquisition, and interlock systems for a major laser test facility in Denver. You will lead sprint planning, coordinate with optics, pulsed power, mechanical, software, and operations teams, and drive V&V activities supporting experiments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in control systems engineering, especially test/measurement environments.
• Experience owning a controls system on a multi-disciplinary project and delivering software releases on time.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW development with version control.

Responsibilities

• Own the controls system for a major development program, including requirements, architecture, and delivery across subsystems.
• Lead sprint planning, assign tasks, review contributions, and ensure on-time software releases.
• Coordinate with optics, pulsed power, mechanical, software, and operations teams to define interfaces and priorities.
• Gather feedback from operators and triage bug reports for system improvement.
• Design, develop, and commission control systems for test/measurement applications; perform V&V.
