Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in India is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to participate in design, development, and evaluation of control systems components and processes. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver robust control solutions for power and processing facilities.

The role requires strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA networks, familiarity with ISA, ASME, ISO codes, and hands-on experience with field instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge of Control System engineering in Power Industry.
• Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards like ISA, ASME PTC, ISO, ASME, ANSI etc. as applicable to power industry
• Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
• Job knowledge of various types of field Instrumentation, DCS, PLC, Hazardous areas is essential.
• Design experience or Basic knowledge of DCS / PLC and SCADA Networks, Fiber optic and CAT 6 is essential.
• DCS FAT participation and knowledge of DCS systems
• Preparation of DCS logics and SAMA diagrams of various systems (HRSG, Steam and Gas turbine , Main steam, feedwater, condensate, Protection logics, Instrument Air/Primary Air, wastewater, Circulating water, Raw water, Potable water, Electrical systems, Diesel generator, Air removal etc.)
• Fire Alarm system design
• Basic awareness industry standards Application Programs such as SPI, S3D, Flowell, Instroke, Conval

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standardControl Systemsengineering methods, techniques, procedures, andcriteria, using independent judgment in makingadaptations and modifications
• Participates in the design, development,modification and evaluation of mechanical components andprocesses utilizingrelevant Engineering Department Procedures(EDPs), design standards and guides, and BechtelStandard Application Programs (BSAPs)
• Coordinates work and collaborates with otherengineering disciplines
• Provides technical assistance to other Control Systemspersonnel and will interact with project functions,the customer, and regulatory agency personnel inthe resolution of complex regulatory issues andindustry codes and standards
• Provides assistance toproject and constructionmanagement in identifying and complying withproject Control Systems requirements and in addressingissues as they arise during project execution
• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs,reports, or proposals
