Job summary

Orbia Polymer Solutions Vestolit is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design, implement, and support DCS/PLC/HMI/SCADA software for control systems in our Illinois facility.

The role requires 5–10 years in process control, DeltaV/ABB/Allen Bradley experience, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering. The position emphasizes safety, equipment start-ups, and continuous improvement of control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5–10 years of experience in process control and automation.
• 5–10 years of experience in programming/configuring DeltaV, PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software.

Responsibilities

• Operate with a focus on safety and environmental compliance.
• Design, implement, and support DCS/PLC/HMI/SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
• Maintain and upgrade plant control systems to world-class standards.
• Lead small electrical/controls projects and support site electrical infrastructure.
