Job summary

Orbia is seeking a skilled Electrical/Controls Engineer in Illinois to design, implement, and maintain DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for our process control systems. The role focuses on safety, environmental compliance, and maintaining world-class plant standards.

You will lead small projects, upgrade obsolete controls, and collaborate with corporate engineering to enhance electrical infrastructure and system performance. A strong MES background and field start-up experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
5–10 years in process control and automation.
5–10 years programming/configuring DeltaV, PLC, HMI, DCS, SCADA software.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Design and support DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA software for control systems.
Maintain world-class standards for plant control systems.
Lead small electrical/controls projects and upgrade obsolete controls.
Support MES and site electrical infrastructure; assist with start-ups and testing.
