Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed before start.
• Five (5) years of experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial controls, and automation systems in various sectors.
• Additional qualifications include: Electrical/Controls/Automation/Electrical Engineering degrees, Master’s in related field, project management experience, ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, experience managing 3rd party contractors and vendors, change process management and compliance, experience with Wonderware in manufacturing, Schneider Concept, Control Expert PLC, ACP Thin Manager, and experience with mining/industrial rock processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply a variety of control technologies (AC/DC motion, digital/analog, operator interface, data acquisition, PID/PLC) for roofing granule manufacturing.
• Manage program formats specific to the location, including change processes and procedures.
• Provide in-plant support to Plant Engineering crafts-persons to resolve controls issues and drive improvements.
• Coordinate work with local and remote IT support.
• Coordinate capital project work with Project Engineering Resources.
• Actively participate in plant Safety, Health, Environmental and Six Sigma Lean processes.
