Job summary

Blue Origin's Honeybee Robotics Colorado team is seeking engineers to develop closed-loop motion control systems for NASA, defense, and commercial programs. You will design algorithms, validate models, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust control solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years in motors, sensors, and motion control. Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++, plus HIL testing experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical college or university with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of motors, gearing, feedback & commutation sensors, and motion control methodologies.
  • Experience building and validating dynamic models and simulations of motion control systems in MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop closed-loop control systems and algorithms incorporating motors, sensors, structures and drive electronics.
  • Present technical content to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Correlate model simulation with real world test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level performance issues during development, integration, and test.
