Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled controls engineer to scale automated manufacturing at our Huntsville facility. You will help integrate new equipment, modify electrical systems, and debug PLC/robot programs to improve safety, quality, and efficiency of production.

Responsibilities include commissioning SCADA apps, supporting complex machinery, and collaborating across teams to deliver robust hardware and software solutions for spaceflight manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with automation control systems (PLCs, Robots, CNC).
  • 3+ years experience with controls software development (Siemens TIA Portal, AB ControlLogix).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration of new automated equipment into the manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Modify electrical systems and debug PLC/Robot programs.
  • Assist commissioning of SCADA applications (Ignition, Kepware, AWS, etc.).
  • Provide production support for sophisticated manufacturing equipment.
