Westinghouse Electric Company in Warrendale, PA, seeks an entry-level Control Systems Engineer to manage design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of non-safety control systems for Turbine Control Upgrade projects globally. This mobile role offers growth across areas based on capability and interest.

You report to the Manager, Turbine Control & Balance of Plant Control Systems Engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 0+ years’ experience required; PLC/SCADA/DCS experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear).
• 0+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, or DCS platforms is desirable.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques.
• Understanding of control theory: plant processes, dynamics, basic, discrete and sequential control.
• Experience in industrial environments or with industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Help design industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design inputs.
• Implement control logic and HMI displays based on the functional design.
• Support calculations including software hazards analysis, susceptibility analysis, FMEAs, and Power/Heat load calculations.
• Perform part change evaluations to address obsolescence.
• Prepare and implement test procedures for unit and system level testing.
• Perform other V&V activities to support project quality plans.
• Prepare documents to support the design, implementation, test, and commissioning of industrial control systems.

As a Control Systems Engineer you will manage the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of non-safety control systems and network infrastructure for Turbine Control Upgrade projects across the world in the nuclear power industry.

This is an entry level position but offers the potential for growth in multiple areas depending on individual capabilities and interest.

You will report to the Manager, Turbine Control & Balance of Plant Control Systems Engineering and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This is a mobile role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help design industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design inputs.
• Implement control logic and HMI displays based on the functional design.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
