Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking aControl Systems Engineer Co-Op to gain hands-on experience with Foxboro DCS, industrial networking, and cybersecurity infrastructure. You will work alongside senior engineers to design, configure, and document automation solutions for industrial environments.

The role involves system design support, software/hardware configuration, cybersecurity, project documentation, and FAT activities, with mentorship and real project impact.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in industrial automation, robotics, or large-scale IT/OT infrastructure.
• Basic proficiency in MS Visio or CAD software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• System Design Support: assist in developing system architecture drawings and audit BOMs.
• Software & Hardware Configuration: install and configure Foxboro DCS software and assist with server/workstation setups.
• Cybersecurity & Networking: help configure secure networks including Fortinet and McAfee tools.
• Project Documentation: maintain software matrices and FAT/commissioning documents.
• System Testing: participate in FAT activities to verify client requirements.
