University of Texas at Austin is seeking a part-time Control Room Technician Assistant to support the College of Pharmacy Learning Resource Center’s video conferencing program on UT MAIN CAMPUS. Training will be provided. Work shifts follow business hours (8AM-5PM) with morning slots on Mon/Wed and mid-morning on Tue.

Job Posting Title: Control Room Technician Assistant ---- Hiring Department: College of Pharmacy ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 12 ---- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt ---- Earliest Start Date: Feb 02, 2026 ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until May 31, 2026 ---- Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose: Assisting in the College of Pharmacy Learning Resource Center’s video conferencing program.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up video conferencing connections via Zoom
  • Controlling classroom cameras via a central control room
  • Maintaining proper audio levels for the classroom and video connections
  • Assist with in-room AV support (Powerpoint, doc cam, microphones, etc.)
  • Monitor lecture capture recordings
  • Co-host duties on the Zoom call (muting participants, opening, sharing, etc.)
Required Qualifications

No qualifications required. Training will be provided. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary

Hourly rate at $12/hour

Working Conditions

Working conditions include walking and standing, interacting with faculty and students during classes, sitting for long period of times.

Work Shift

Business hours: 8AM-5PM

Availability
  • Monday: 7:30am - 11:00am
  • Tuesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm
  • Wednesday: 7:30am - 11:00am
Employment Eligibility Verification
