Vistra Energy in Franklin, Texas seeks a Plant Operator to ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of two supercritical lignite-fired generating units. You will control boiler, turbine-generator, balance-of-plant, and lignite fuel-delivery systems from the control room, responding to alarms and disturbances while coordinating startups, shutdowns, and load changes.

Competenze

• Minimum of six years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience operating utility-scale generating equipment from a control room.
• Understanding of supercritical steam generation and turbine-generator systems.
• Strong knowledge of DCS-based control and monitoring systems.
• Ability to interpret trends and alarms to identify issues under pressure.
• Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work without direct supervision in upset conditions.

Mansioni

• Operate and monitor two supercritical lignite-fired units from the control room.
• Coordinate unit startups, shutdowns, load changes, and switching activities.
• Monitor DCS indications, alarms, trends, and operating parameters.
