Job summary

Oak Grove Management Co LLC in Franklin, Texas is seeking a Plant Operator to safely and reliably operate two supercritical lignite-fired generating units from the control room. You will monitor boiler, turbine-generator, and balance-of-plant systems, respond to alarms, and coordinate startups and shutdowns.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate logs, and teamwork with field operators, maintenance, and fuel-handling personnel. Six years of related experience and DCS knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six years of related experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience operating utility-scale generating equipment from a control room.
• Understanding of supercritical steam generation and turbine operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor two supercritical lignite-fired units from the control room.
• Maintain safe, stable operation of boiler and turbine-generator systems.
• Monitor DCS indications, alarms, trends, and operating parameters; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate unit startups, shutdowns, load changes, and fuel-handling activities.
