Summary of Position

This Control Room Operator position will execute remote operational control of multiple saltwater disposal facilities and pipelines. The role involves improving efficiencies and effectiveness of daily field operations, while also enhancing safety and environmental stewardship. Reporting to the Control Room Manager in Houston, TX.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring and controlling SWD facilities to optimize costs, reduce environmental impact, and improve HSE.
  2. Performing material balance on the gathering system for accurate volumetric data and operational status.
  3. Managing active alarms within control room guidelines.
  4. Troubleshooting operational issues and collaborating with field operations.
  5. Addressing instrumentation issues with I/E staff.
  6. Troubleshooting SCADA software and infrastructure.
  7. Testing new SCADA developments and providing feedback.
  8. Documenting operational events electronically.
  9. Issuing work orders and planning routes.
  10. Participating in EH&S programs and initiatives.
  11. Conducting virtual site visits.
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. 5+ years’ experience as a lease operator, artificial lift technician, I/E technician, or control room operator preferred.
  2. 3+ years’ experience with SCADA systems preferred.
  3. Availability for overtime to cover absences.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  6. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  7. Common-sense approach to daily tasks.
  8. Clear communication with management and field teams.
  9. Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
  10. Ability to travel to field locations as needed.
Working Conditions/Environment

Professional or business casual office environment.

Position Type
  1. Full-time position.
  2. Shift includes rotational day and night shifts (3:00 am – 3:00 pm & 3:00 pm – 3:00 am), rotating monthly.
  3. Schedule is 5/5/4 (5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on).
  4. Overtime may be required.
