Job summary

EthosEnergy is hiring an Operations and Maintenance Technician – Control Room Operator (CRO) for a GE 1x1 combined cycle plant in Mobile, AL. You will qualify as a plant operator and perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs, using GE Mark V and Siemens PCS 7 control systems, and maintain SOPs and plant chemistry logs.

Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills are required. You will work 12-hour rotating shifts and follow safety policies to protect staff and plant assets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with GE Mark V and Siemens PCS 7 control systems.
• Knowledge of lock out tag out, hot work and confined space procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains a 223 MW plant with minimal guidance.
• Proficiently operate the plant via a remote DCS and local PLC interfaces as needed.
• Set daily work priorities and report issues to O&M management.
• Record process data, monitor equipment, and perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform water chemistry analysis and monitor plant chemistry logs.
• Maintain housekeeping and contribute to continuous improvement in HSE.
