Job Description Summary
The Company is currently seeking an experienced Control Room Operator for its Blackstone facility in Blackstone, Massachusetts. The Control Room Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring the status of all power plant systems from the field on a continuous basis. The Control Room Operator responds to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and executes plant shutdown and start-up procedures, in addition to maintenance procedures as required. The Control Room Operator ensures that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating safely and efficiently, reporting directly to the immediate Supervisor. Pay ranges between $38-$64 hourly, depending on skills and experience. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus of up to 8%, up to 4% profit sharing, up to 6% dollar-for-dollar match toward your 401(k), and medical/dental/vision benefits for the employee and their family members.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
• Collaborate with team members to achieve safety, environmental, operational, and maintenance goals.
• Respond to abnormal operating situations safely and environmentally conscientiously.
• Support start-up, shutdown, and normal operation of plant equipment and systems.
• Report equipment conditions or anomalies affecting plant status.
• Maintain logs, environmental records, and other documentation.
• Perform electrical switching and tagging per lockout procedures and industry guidelines.
• Participate in plant housekeeping and cleanliness activities.
• Conduct preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Perform routine cycle chemistry testing and adjustments.
• Read and respond to computer data, instrumentation, gauges, and readouts.
• Comply with safety requirements and eliminate hazards.
• Use CMMS to document and track maintenance activities.
• Review environmental permits regularly to ensure compliance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer’s License required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Gas turbine power plant experience preferred.
• Successful completion of the Poss/Mass Pre-employment test.
• Knowledge of operations & maintenance in a gas turbine power plant.
• Understanding of water chemistry, steam plant operations, and environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of safety policies, chemical handling, high-energy systems, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, fire suppression, first aid, rotating machinery, and heavy equipment.

Additional Job Details:
• Extended working hours, varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, work at heights, and outdoors in adverse weather.
• Read and understand operating procedures, control logic diagrams, P&ID’s, and technical materials.
• Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, chemical suits, and high-voltage gear.
• Ability to wear a respirator and other safety equipment as required.
