Control Panel Technician

Job Description

The Control Panel Technician assembles, wires, and tests electrical control panels using wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. This role involves precise electrical wiring and rewiring, use of basic hand and power tools, and close collaboration with a small, experienced team in a clean, temperature‑controlled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical control panels accurately based on wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Perform electrical wiring and rewiring of control panels and related components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for control panels and apply them to daily work.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively during panel fabrication and assembly.
  • Support panel fabrication activities, including layout, mounting, and preparation of components.
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues in control panels and identify necessary corrections or repairs.
  • Inspect completed panels to verify proper wiring, connections, and overall build quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with facility standards.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in panel building or commercial/multifamily electrical work.
  • Proficiency in wiring and electrical work, including panel wiring and rewiring.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for control panels.
  • Hands‑on experience with control panel assembly or related electrical assemblies.
  • Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools for electrical and panel fabrication tasks.
  • Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving issues in control panels.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Control panel assembly or installation experience is highly desired.
  • Commercial and multifamily electrical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with panel fabrication processes and component layout.
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and work instructions accurately.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
