Job summary

Automation Displays is seeking a detail-oriented Control Panel Assembler in Eau Claire, WI. You will assemble electrical control panels, mount components, wire, label, and test assemblies in accordance with drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels according to drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Mount electrical components, wire duct, DIN rail, terminal blocks, and related panel components.
  • Cut, strip, terminate, route, and label wires per specifications.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring and electrical connections accurately.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely in the production environment.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and workmanship.
  • Identify and communicate issues with materials, drawings, or assemblies.
  • Document production and quality activities as required.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and standardization efforts.

Job description

Position Summary

The Control Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

This position performs mechanical assembly, component installation, wiring, labeling, and inspection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical control panels according to drawings, schematics, Bills of Material (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Mount electrical components, wire duct, DIN rail, terminal blocks, and related panel components.
  • Cut, strip, terminate, route, and label wires according to specifications.
  • Complete point-to-point wiring and electrical connections accurately.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and workmanship.
  • Identify and communicate material, drawing, or assembly issues.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Meet established productivity, quality, and production schedule expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and process standardization initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Electrical assembly, manufacturing, wiring, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
  • Experience in electrical controls, industrial automation, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to learn electrical control panel assembly processes.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials or components up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
