Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr

This position is located in Reno, Nevada.

Required Skillset:
  • AS or BS Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent – Majors in: Controls and Computer Control Systems, Computer Science, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation engineering, etc.), or 5+ years’ experience in Control Systems Design and PLC, or equivalent
  • Implementation (Siemens, Omron preferred) or equivalent
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI – Proface, WinCC, Ignition)
  • Proficiency creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD - (EPLAN required)
  • Structured Text (IEC 61131-3) programming skill
Day to Day:
  • Program and debug structured text and ladder logic code on multiple PLC controller platforms (Siemens TIA Portal and Omron Sysmac Studio)
  • Create intuitive operator touchscreen interfaces using Siemens WinCC / Proface / Weintek EasyBuilder and SCADA dashboards screens using Ignition
  • Create robust programs and sequences to control complex, multi-station machinery to perform processes such as material pick and place, dispense, roll to roll, welding, testing and material transport
  • Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs for fast and smooth operation
  • Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
  • Design and implement control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high-volume manufacturing equipment as per codes and standards
  • Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing
  • Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff and installation of automated manufacturing equipment
  • Develop & maintain proper documentation of all electrical equipment and associated procedures, making updates as required
Compensation:

$70/hr to $75/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
