We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join a leading Company located in North Kansas City, MO.

Salary $95K to $115K + a sign in Bonus of $5,000.

Responsibilities
  • The controls engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, supporting, and improving upon the control systems that are essential to the production processes. Involvement will range from initial project sourcing through SOP +90 days, or as required for corporate employees or launch through EOP plant employees. Both may be required to support the implementation of engineering changes for current production products. You will provide your controls expertise to help in tooling design and automation for new projects and process changes driven by product engineering changes. Additionally, responsible for the transfer of all equipment and process documentation to the Production Plant prior to SOP; this includes all OEM equipment documentation (electronic and hard copies of manuals, BOM, drawings, recommended spare parts, and recommended PMs). Participating in the development of RFQs and Equipment Specifications for Capital and Tooling Requirements. Responsible for programming torque control systems and joint development. Selection of error and mistake proofing devices. Supports Engineering Cost Estimator to supply quoted assumptions for the assembly process requirements, capital/tooling investments, and direct/indirect labor. Help establish design goals, process, and equipment specifications for Controls and Electrical power distribution systems.
Basic Hiring Criteria
  • Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Programming, or a related field; Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Controls Engineer.
  • Experience with maintaining robots in production processes.
  • Experience in JIT, SPD, ILVS, and Batch manufacturing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Manual and Automated Assembly Systems and Technologies, including both mechanical and control systems.
  • Technical experience required with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, FactoryTalk View Studio
  • Controls Technical proficiency requirement:
  • PLC Programming (2-4 years): Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000 processors.
  • Vision Systems Programming (2-4 years): Cognex, Keyence.
  • HMI Programming (2-4 years): FactoryTalk View Studio, PanelView Plus.
  • Robot Programming: Touchup paths and troubleshoot stoppages.
