Job summary

Rennco, a ProMach company, seeks a skilled Controls Engineer to design and troubleshoot electrical controls for packaging equipment. You’ll craft electrical schematics, control panels, and layouts using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, and implement PLC/HMI programs across projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in controls engineering, proficiency with RSLogix/Studio 5000, and knowledge of motion control. Travel to installations is required and packaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of controls engineering experience.
• Experience designing electrical schematics and control panels with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical (required).
• Experience with Rockwell RSLogix 500/5000 or Studio 5000.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, network communications, and motion control.
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Packaging equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, control panels, and layouts using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control programs.
• Commission, test, and debug packaging equipment.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, and design documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and field service teams.

Join Rennco, a ProMach company, and help design and develop innovative packaging automation solutions. We are seeking a Controls Engineer with AutoCAD design experience to support electrical controls design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and technical support for our packaging equipment.

What You'll Do

• Design electrical schematics, control panels, and layouts using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control programs
• Commission, test, and debug packaging equipment
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, and design documentation
• Provide technical support to customers and field service teams
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on new and existing projects
• Travel as needed to support equipment installations and customer projects

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of controls engineering or related experience
• Experience designing electrical schematics and control panels using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar software (required)
• Experience with Rockwell Automation RSLogix 500/5000 or Studio 5000
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, network communications, and motion control
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience
