New Castle Building Products, a full-service distributor, is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operator at our Long Island City, NY location. The role involves loading/unloading trucks, picking orders, and maintaining orderly warehouse operations while adhering to safety protocols.

Forklift operation is a core duty; candidates should be comfortable lifting up to 70 pounds and will contribute to inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment in a unionized environment.

• Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks of building materials including the checking-in of material.
• Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on work orders.
• Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment.
• Organize warehouse for orderliness at all times.
• You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
• Frequent standing, walking, crouching.
