Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Control Center Agent in the Ground Handling Department to serve as a liaison among airport operators, partners, dispatchers, flight crews and station personnel.

You will monitor turns and update flight times, communicating changes to affected teams and customers. The role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, ability to multitask under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.

Formación

  • Two years of airport ramp or passenger service experience.
  • Familiarity with LTD regulations and FAA requirements.
  • Experience with incident or disruption communications is a plus.

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Control Center Agent in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to serve as a liaison between airport operators, business partners, dispatchers, flight crew, and station personnel. This role monitors flight task progress during the turn process while communicating cancellations, service requests, and flight updates to the respective departments and business partners. The successful candidate will have advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite, outstanding multi-tasking ability, and the ability to work collaboratively. This position will report to the Department Manager.Essential Duties:Serve as a liaison between airport operators, business partners, dispatchers, flight crew, and station personnelMonitor flight task progress and coordinate the successful execution of turnsProactively update published estimated departure times for flights to provide accurate information to customers, station personnel, and business partnersAdjust future flight gating and remote parking to reduce customer impact and maintain operational integrityCommunicate gate changes, cancellations, service requests, and flight updates to other departments and business partnersOversee deicing and fueling activitiesMonitor and track long taxi delays to ensure compliance with lengthy tarmac delay regulationsJob Qualifications and Competencies:Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately (i.e. updating internal systems while answering phone calls and listening to one or more radio channels/frequencies)Ability to work under tight time constraints and in high pressure situations while receiving communication from multiple sources simultaneouslyAbility to rotate through different position assignments within the Control Center and adhere to company performance standards and task deadlinesAdvanced ability with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work collaboratively with all levels of station personnel, support staff, and both internal and external stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Two (2) years of airport ramp or passenger service experiencePrevious Hub Control Center experienceFamiliarity with Lengthy Tarmac Delay (LTD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) regulationsExperience with Ascent Right Now View, Ground Event Tracker (GET), and QIKWork Environment:Airport environment, requiring use of telephones, computers, radios, and other office equipment and subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levelsAll shifts including weekends, nights, holidays, and/or irregular shiftsPhysical Requirements:Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairsHandle objects up to 70 poundsThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
