Quantum Sky is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support a portfolio of federal government contracts and subcontracts. You will own direct touch relationships with government and prime contracting counterparts, providing contractual guidance and risk assessment across the full lifecycle.

The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance policy with business objectives and act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience in government contracts or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal contracting principles.
  • Proficient drafting and negotiating various contract forms.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage multiple active contracts/subcontracts as a primary contact.
  • Support the full contract lifecycle, including proposals and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and agency requirements.
  • Review, negotiate, and mitigate risks in contracts and subcontracts.
  • Support proposals and color-team reviews; track deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Pricing, Engineering and BD on contracts.

Quantum Sky is searching for a Contracts Specialist to join a team of dedicated Contracts professionals to support a dynamic portfolio of federal government contracts and subcontracts. The Contracts Specialist will provide critical contractual guidance, risk assessment, and operational support across the full contract lifecycleportfolio of projects. The Contracts Specialist will own the direct touch relationships with our Government and prime contracting counterparts, and leverage this experience to provide insight and analysis to the Business Development organization for new business pursuits. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional individual contributor who thrives complexity, possesses exceptional people skills, swift and sound business judgment, and outstanding attention to detail. He or she is professional in all situations, but possesses an ability to speak truth to power, enabled by a confidence in one's knowledge, research, and experience, with the ultimate objective of being a consensus builder. This individual will play a key role in protecting the company's interests while enabling successful program execution, growth and relationship builder. The Contracts team uniquely sits at the intersection of Business Development, Operations, and Finance and is called upon constantly to perceive and balance the business's priorities at any given time, and assist with navigating process to get things done. To this end, the Contracts Specialist must be a superior communicator who keeps our "internal customers" in mind.

Responsibilities
Contract Administration & Execution
  • Administer and manage multiple active contracts and/or subcontracts, serving as a primary point of contact for internal teams and external customers.
  • Support the full contract lifecycle, including proposal participation, award, modification, execution, and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements.
Drafting, Negotiation & Risk Management
  • Review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
    • Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and other various agreements.
  • Perform detailed redline reviews, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to protect company interests.
  • Assist in resolving contractual issues arising during performance.
Proposal Support
  • Support proposals led by both the proposal and business group teams.
  • Participate in and contribute to color team proposal reviews.
  • Ability to track and meet deadlines as needed.
Business Partnership & Advisory
  • Partner closely with Operations to address contractual matters impacting program execution.
  • Provide contractual guidance, risk analysis, and strategy support to Business Development, Proposals, Pricing, and Engineering teams on active and pipeline opportunities.
  • Support concurrent business pursuits with contract strategy and compliance insight.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all contractual documents are accurate, approved, executed, and properly filed.
  • Maintain complete contract records and support audits, including ISO and internal compliance reviews.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs), task orders, and modifications to ensure alignment with governing agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company policies and procedures as required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external partners, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, prime contractors, subcontractors and internal customers.
  • Provide backup support to Contracts team members as needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in government contracts, subcontracts, proposals or related roles
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting principles
    • Contract types: FFP, CPFF, T&M, Cost-Reimbursable, IDIQ
    • Various Government portals (CHESS IT, PIEE, etc)
    • Working knowledge of GSA MAS and GWAC Vehicles
  • Proficient at drafting and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other agreement types
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and contract management systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US. Citizenship required
  • Ability to balance risk mitigation with business objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to advise and influence stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
