Job summary

ASI is seeking a Contracts Specialist. This position is eligible for work in our Jacksonville, FL or Lexington Park, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Support solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
• Assist with contract closeout and termination activities in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures
• Perform price and cost analysis for firm-fixed-price and other contract types
• Participate as a member of acquisition and compliance review teams
• Execute contracting actions across pre-award and post-award lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS principles and internal policies
• Analyze market conditions, pricing data, contractor responsibility, and performance history to support source selection recommendations
• Draft contract documentation including memoranda, correspondence, reports, contract provisions, and supporting files
• Evaluate bids and proposals considering price, delivery, technical compliance, past performance, and financial responsibility
• Manage assigned workload with defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines while supporting ad hoc contractual requirements and audits

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in government contracting, procurement, or subcontract administration
• An additional 5 years of data analysis experience may be substituted for degree
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of contract administration principles and acquisition lifecycle processes
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage contracting actions and support concurrent priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience drafting and negotiating complex contractual instruments, including terms, conditions, and solicitation packages
• U.S. Government contracting experience (DoD preferred), including familiarity with FAR/DFARS environments
• Experience supporting Prime Contractor and Subcontractor execution environments
