Referment is seeking a Legal Analyst in New York to support contract preparation, review, and privacy processes for a global investment and technology firm. The role pairs closely with attorneys and focuses on operational and editorial duties rather than attorney-level work.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years post-graduate experience, a bachelor's degree, and a background in investment management or financial services with strong writing and editing skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of post-graduate professional experience.
• Direct professional experience within the Investment Management or Financial Services sector is essential for this role.
• An educational background in Communications or a similar field emphasizing writing and editing is highly desirable.
• An interest in privacy, legal and commercial risk, with the ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly.
• Excellent organisation, analysis, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong project-management habits and close attention to detail.
• Exposure to contracts or privacy principles is beneficial, but this is a non-attorney role and formal legal training is not required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare contract templates, supporting documents and process materials.
• Review and comment on counterparty terms under the guidance of attorneys.
• Review marketing materials, client-facing slide decks and external communications for legal accuracy and risk exposure.
• Maintain privacy policies and notices and help implement new privacy requirements.
• Support data-privacy impact assessments, contract management and related compliance work.
• Coordinate projects carefully, keeping documents accurate and stakeholders informed.
