Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment and technology firm to hire a legal analyst who will support contract review, privacy processes, and document preparation. You will work closely with attorneys and help implement privacy requirements across an international business.

This role suits a legal assistant or analyst with strong editorial and analytical skills, focusing on operational support rather than formal legal training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of post-graduate professional experience.
• Direct professional experience within the Investment Management or Financial Services sector is essential.
• Educational background in Communications or similar field emphasizing writing/editing is highly desirable.
• Interest in privacy, legal and commercial risk with ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly.
• Excellent organisation, analysis, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong project-management habits and close attention to detail.
• Exposure to contracts or privacy principles is beneficial; this is a non-attorney role and formal legal training is not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract templates, supporting documents and process materials.
• Review and comment on counterparty terms under attorney guidance.
• Review marketing materials, client-facing slides and external communications for legal accuracy and risk.
• Maintain privacy policies/notices and help implement new privacy requirements.
• Support data-privacy impact assessments, contract management and related compliance work.
• Coordinate projects carefully, keeping documents accurate and stakeholders informed.
