Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Contract Manager to guide contract interpretation, administer contract documents, and ensure owner compliance on major infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize terms and payment processes.

The role requires the ability to identify deviations, prepare formal notices, and produce regular contract activity reports. You will mentor junior staff and drive change management across project teams.

Description

• Provides guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, terms, and conditions.
• Conducts contract administration including interpretation and implementation of administrative requirements of contract documents and ensuring owner compliance.
• Proactively identifies and addresses any deviations or issues that may arise during the implementation of contract terms.
• Pursues project contractual/legal and financial entitlements through proactive preparation of contractual correspondence and contractual notices as required.
• Processes interim and final payment requests, including obtaining full and proper payment for work executed, all in accordance with the terms of the contract.
• Manages relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues from the project team.
• Prepares regular reports and analysis on contract activity, including key metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
• Creates and negotiates requests for variations, change orders, and claims.
• Provides on-project training to internal stakeholders on contract administration, contract interpretation, change management, claims management, and the like.
• ÂMentors, coaches and provides feedback to Assistant Contract Managers and Contract Administrators.
