Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Contracts Manager to lead contract activities for the Precision Fires line, including development, production, and sustainment of munitions.

You will manage a team supporting US Government, FMS, and DCS contracts, oversee negotiations from capture through award and closeout, and coordinate with program, finance, and legal to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Serve as authorized representative with Customer buying representatives to support business goals.
  • Coordinate solutions, advise leadership of contractual rights, obligations, risks, and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and adherence to Delegation of Authority.
  • Lead audits with internal/external teams to support contract activities and verify compliance.
  • Ensure final contract documents reflect negotiated agreements.
  • Develop and lead training of Contracts team on policies and procedures.
  • Collect data and compile reports for corporate requests.
  • Supervise recruitment, training, performance assessments, and disciplinary actions.

You will be the Contracts Manager for the Precision Fires Launchers and Munitions team. Our team is responsible for delivering contract excellence that powers advanced munitions development, production, and sustainment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for leading contract activities that enable the Precision Fires Line of Business to meet its mission objectives.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Lead a team of contracts professionals supporting Precision Fires development, production, and sustainment contracts (USG, FMS, DCS).
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers to influence outcomes and secure win‑win solutions.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to propose, negotiate, and execute contracts from capture through award, execution, and closeout.
  • Provide business advice and coordinate with program, finance, legal, and other functions to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Manage audits, training, and reporting to maintain contractual compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate solutions, advise Contracts and Program leadership of contractual rights, obligations, risks, and customer concerns related to company performance.
  • Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.
  • Lead and manage audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.
  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
  • Develop and lead training of Contracts team on contracts policies and procedures.
  • Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.
  • Be responsible for supervisory responsibilities and coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secretclearance to start.

The position will require onsite work >50% of the time and occasional travel is required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with US Government and/or International customers and contracts
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and documented application of acquisition regulations (FAR & DFARS)
  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

  • Cost Type, Fixed Price, and Incentive Fee Contracting Type knowledge
  • Negotiation experience and knowledge of Precision Fires portfolio
  • Experience in strategy development for new captures
  • Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts
  • Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, financing payments, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience working autonomously with general direction

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $109700.00 - $203700.00
