Job description

Contracts Manager – Loftware

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Hybrid) or Remote (US – EST hours). Visa sponsorship is not available.

Job Overview

Loftware seeks a detail‑oriented, highly motivated Contracts Manager to join our expanding global legal department. The role reports to Corporate Counsel and partners closely with global Finance, Sales, Services and other operational teams to negotiate and provide legal and commercial advice on all customer licensing and services agreements, vendor contracts and related matters.

Responsibilities
  • Initial point of contact for drafting and reviewing software subscription and licensing agreements, order forms, amendments, NDAs and other contracts with customers, suppliers, partners and resellers.
  • Collaborate with global sales, service and operations to manage and finalize software licensing (SaaS and on‑premise) and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure contract terms align with corporate contracting strategy, are approved by relevant stakeholders and are negotiated within Loftware’s legal, financial and compliance guidelines.
  • Escalate non‑standard or complex matters to senior members of the Legal and Compliance Team.
  • Support continuous improvement of standard form agreements, legal processes and related system file administration.
  • Streamline and automate the contracting process, maintaining documented processes, standard forms and playbooks.
  • Assist in expanding Loftware’s vendor management and procurement program.
  • Track deadlines, deliverables and maintain open communication with business partners and internal clients on contract status.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and ad‑hoc projects as identified.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years legal experience in a large law firm or in‑house with a software/SaaS solution provider.
  • Demonstrated experience managing processes, coordinating cross‑functional projects and meeting established deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of software revenue recognition considerations and international markets.
  • Experience advising on and structuring licensing (SaaS), partnership and marketing transactions.
  • Detail‑oriented problem‑solver with leadership ability and creative/efficient resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and ability to influence senior management.
  • High initiative, ability to work independently under pressure in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
  • Superior English language writing and oral communication skills.
