Job summary

Mayday Manufacturing seeks a Contracts Manager to lead the administration, negotiation, and management of LTAs, PO terms, NDAs, and amendments for its aerospace and defense portfolio.

You will partner with Finance, Sales, and Quoting teams to assess pricing, margins, and risk, while maintaining organized contract records and ensuring compliance across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Contract Management, or related field from an accredited four-year university.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, pricing, finance, or related field.
  • Direct experience reviewing and negotiating customer LTAs, PO terms, NDAs, and commercial terms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer LTAs and other commercial agreements from review to renewal and closeout.
  • Review, analyze, and redline LTAs, PO terms, NDAs, amendments, and other agreements.
  • Evaluate commercial terms including pricing, escalation clauses, rebates, payment terms, and risk.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Quoting teams to assess contract impacts on cost, pricing, margin, and cash flow.
  • Prepare contract summaries, approval packages, redline logs, and final executed records.
  • Maintain organized contract files and tracking systems for renewals and obligations.
  • Lead internal contract review meetings and communicate open actions and risks.
  • Coordinate contract amendments, pricing notifications, and communications.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate FAR/DFARS flow-down and ITAR/EAR provisions with Legal and Compliance teams.

About the Role

Lead Contracts. Protect Profitability. Drive Growth. Mayday Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated Contracts Manager to support our growing aerospace and defense business. This strategic role is responsible for administering, reviewing, negotiating, and managing customer Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), purchase order terms, amendments, nondisclosure agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage customer LTAs and other commercial agreements from review and negotiation through renewal and closeout.
  • Review, analyze, and redline LTAs, purchase order terms and conditions, NDAs, amendments, and other commercial agreements while coordinating Corporate Legal review when required.
  • Evaluate commercial terms including pricing, escalation clauses, rebates, payment terms, volume commitments, delivery schedules, cancellations, warranties, liability provisions, intellectual property rights, audit rights, and termination clauses.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Quoting teams to assess contract impacts related to cost, pricing, margin, cash flow, volume commitments, tooling investments, non-recurring engineering (NRE), and overall business risk.
  • Prepare contract summaries, approval packages, negotiation documentation, redline logs, and final executed contract records.
  • Maintain organized contract files and tracking systems for renewals, pricing actions, notice requirements, contractual obligations, and key customer commitments.
  • Lead internal contract review meetings and communicate open actions, compliance concerns, renewal opportunities, margin improvements, and contractual risk exposure.
  • Coordinate contract amendments, pricing notifications, claims, and formal customer communications.
  • Monitor customer compliance with contractual obligations, including volume commitments, forecasts, payment terms, and other key performance requirements.
  • Coordinate FAR/DFARS flow-down requirements and ITAR/EAR provisions with Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, and Trade Compliance teams.
  • Continually improve contract templates, approval workflows, reporting dashboards, checklists, and training materials.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations regarding contractual obligations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Review, provide feedback on, negotiate, and execute customer contracts and, when necessary, supplier agreements.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure while managing challenging negotiations and complex business situations.
Qualifications
  • Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Contract Management, or a related field from an accredited four-year university.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, pricing, finance, or a related field within manufacturing or another complex business-to-business environment.
  • Direct experience reviewing and negotiating customer LTAs, purchase orders, amendments, NDAs, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to assess pricing strategies, escalation impacts, volume commitments, profitability, cash flow implications, and payment terms.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced business environment.
