About the Opportunity
A Consumer Products Company is looking for a Contracts Manager for an ongoing engagement starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, redline, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including:
- Master Services Agreements (MSAs); Statements of Work (SOWs); Sales agreements; Distributor agreements; Licensing agreements; Construction agreements; Leases and other real estate-related agreements; Amendments, NDAs, and related commercial documentation
- Provide contracting support for business teams across the United States, Canada, and broader Americas region, with potential expansion into additional global markets
- Review and interpret contractual provisions to identify risks, ensure compliance, and provide practical business guidance
- Serve as a subject matter resource on commercial contracting processes, policies, and requirements
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including procurement, finance, operations, sales, and other business teams
- Manage agreements through the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution
- Develop and improve contracting resources, including templates, clause libraries, playbooks, training materials, and contract management processes
- Support contract reporting, data analysis, and contract management system administration
- Identify and elevate legal and business risks as appropriate
- Coordinate and manage legal operations and contracting projects from inception through completion
- Assist with additional legal department initiatives as needed
Ideal Candidate:
- Paralegal certification and/or CCCM/CCMP designation preferred
- 5+ years of commercial contracts management experience within an in-house legal department, procurement organization, or similar environment
- Experience supporting consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, such as ContractPodAi or similar tools, is a plus
- Location: Austin, TX, hybrid on-site
- Schedule: Full-time
- Duration: Ongoing engagement with opportunity to convert to FTE
Required:
- Candidates must be able to work up to full-time.
- The work will be performed on-site in Austin, Texas.
- Company's preferred pricing model is weekly with a budget of $1,500 - $1,800/week; flexible based on experience.
- Candidates will be employed (W-2) by a workforce solutions company for the duration of this engagement.
- This role would begin on a contract basis, with potential for conversion to a full-time employee, based on performance, the business needs and cultural fit.
