Responsibilities

  • Reviews contracts, including prime contracts, nondisclosure agreements, subcontract agreements, consulting agreements, and similar documents for compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Advises internal operations teams and/or assigned attorney regarding terms and conditions that do not align with company policies and legal standards; negotiates, where appropriate, with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Assists project team in preparing contract abstracts.
  • Reviews pertinent contractual documents for notice requirements and deadlines; drafts required correspondence and legal documents for review and approval by attorneys.
  • Prepares template notices and participates in project kick-off meetings to highlight compliance with contractual obligations; monitors and advises on contractual deadlines timely.
  • Collects documents, data and the like responsive to subpoenas and other discovery requests.
  • Investigates, reviews and responds to requests by third parties (e.g., government agencies, insurance carriers, etc.).
  • Manages and utilizes contract management systems and assist Business Units with proper document controls.
  • Assists in contract training and claims management for Business Units.
  • Supports and promotes positive and inclusive work environments.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience or 8 years of Contract Manager experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with clients, project teams, and support organizations.
  • Understand organizational and managerial structure related to operations management and projects.
  • Experience reviewing, negotiating and drafting construction contracts and related documents.
  • Collaborative problem solver.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex legal issues and concepts and ability to explain such concepts to all levels of the enterprise.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software and Contract Lifecycle Management software and similar products.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC, Orlando, FL, Sarasota, FL and Tampa, FL this ranges from $90,000.00 -$120,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. For Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA and Boca Raton, FL this ranges from $95,000.00 -$125,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
