Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando/Dallas is seeking a Contracts Intern who will support proposal preparation, negotiations, contract administration, and closeout while enrolled in a degree program. This role provides exposure to cutting-edge missiles and fire control technology and mentoring from experienced professionals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a business administration degree, possess basic financial knowledge, and are proficient with MS Office.

• Knowledge of basic financial concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal preparation, negotiations, contract administration, and closeout.
• Review customer requests for proposals, information or revisions to contracts.
• Assist in preparing proposals, briefing packages and fact finding.
• Learn risk assessments and mitigations, including contract language.
• Contribute to investigations and reconciliation of significant contract changes.

Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks a Contracts intern who will have the unique opportunity to support the most cutting-edge technologies for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in the Dallas and/or Orlando business areas. You will have the opportunity to be involved in proposal preparation support, negotiations, contract administration, and contract closeout; reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal/information or revisions to contracts; supporting preparations of proposals, developing briefing packages, fact finding and negotiation; exposed to risk assessments and approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language/clauses; conducting investigations and reconciling significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc., and advising management of contractual rights and responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a degree in Business Administration (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Management, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts
• Proficiency with MS Office

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $26.81 - $30.97

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
