Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Contracts Advisor V in Houston for a 6- to 12-month assignment under a 9/80 schedule. This role focuses on advisory and category management within facilities services, aligning contractual scope with project needs.

You will draft, negotiate, and execute contracts, manage key suppliers across HVAC, electrical, and other facilities services, and collaborate with CRE, Workplace Services, and Finance to ensure risk is allocated and performance is tracked.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract advisory and category management in facilities management or closely related service environment.
• Experience developing scope of work, category strategy, sourcing activity, and negotiating service agreements.
• Experience managing strategic suppliers and preferred vendors across operational service categories.
• Background monitoring supplier performance against KPIs, resolving service issues, and supporting quarterly business reviews.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facility Managers, Operations, Finance, Legal, and HSE.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in contract advisory and category management within facilities management or a closely related service environment.


• Prior exposure to developing scope of work, category strategy, sourcing activity, and negotiating service agreements.


• Experience managing strategic suppliers and preferred vendors across operational service categories.


• Background monitoring supplier performance against KPIs, resolving service issues, and supporting quarterly business reviews.


• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facility Managers, Operations, Finance, Legal, and HSE.

Required Skills

• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and execution skills across pricing structures, service level agreements, KPIs, liability, indemnification, insurance requirements, termination rights, and performance credits and penalties.


• Ability to ensure contracts allocate risk appropriately and protect company interests.


• Strong supplier performance management capability, including dispute resolution and service improvement planning.


• Ability to benchmark market pricing and support audits and corrective action plans.


• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into contracts and work orders and present recommendations to leadership.


• Knowledge of facilities management service areas including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, janitorial, pest control, landscaping, security, waste management, mailroom services, energy management, space management, and catering.


• Understanding of regulatory compliance, health and safety standards, environmental policies, and governance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience supporting contracting or category management activity in a large-scale corporate environment.
