Job summary

Knight Aerospace is seeking a Contracts Administrator to establish and oversee contractual relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, and government entities. You will handle proposals through closeout, ensure regulatory compliance, negotiate terms, and manage relationships to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities include drafting SOWs, pricing and delivery schedules, reviewing proposals, coordinating with Contract Officers, managing subcontracts, and handling CDRLs/SDRls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years contract management or negotiation.
  • 5+ years federal government contracting requirements and procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and contract analysis with DoD exposure.
  • Eligible to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, manage, and administer all contractual activities for projects.
  • Develop SOWs, pricing, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze contract provisions to identify risks and solutions.
  • Create and modify contract language with customers and partners.
  • Review proposals for conformity to contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with Contract Officers to meet requirements.
  • Oversee Subcontracts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage creation/submission of CDRLs and SDRLs.
  • Evaluate vendor performance for quality, cost, timeliness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks of overruns and delays.
  • Resolve disputes and claims via negotiation and communication.
  • Interpret contractual requirements and coordinate legal resources.
  • Advise on contractual rights, obligations, and resources.
  • Manage IP protection and utilization in contracts.

Position Summary:

The Contracts Administrator will be responsible in establishing and overseeing contractual relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, and government entities. This will include proposal development to contract closeout, compliance with regulations, negotiating terms, and managing relationships. The Contracts Administrator will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Negotiate, manage, and administer all contractual activities related to projects and ensure that technical and business assumptions, limitations, and conditions are included.

2. Develop agreements covering statements of work (SOW), pricing, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.

3. Analyze contract provisions to identify potential risks, summarize implications, and make recommended solutions.

4. Create and modify contract language to capture and implement agreements with customers, partners, and subcontractors.

5. Manage the review of proposals/offers from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable proposals.

6. Interact closely with Contract Officers to assure requirements and needs are met.

7. Provide oversight of Subcontracts and assure compliance.

8. Manage creation and submission of CDRLs and SDRLs.

9. Conduct performance evaluations of vendors regarding quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness.

10. Identify and mitigate risks such as cost overruns, schedule delays, and non-compliance issues.

11. Resolve contract disputes and claims through effective negotiation and communication.

12. Interpret program contractual requirements and coordinate legal resource services.

13. Provide advice regarding contractual rights, obligations, and other contractual matters, such as effective use of resources and legal issues.

14. Manage the contractual activities for protection and utilization of Intellectual Property in fulfilling contractual obligations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, business related degree, or other equivalent industry work experience.

2. A minimum of three years of experience with contract management or negotiation.

3. 5+ years’ experience in federal government contracting requirements and procurement

4. Strong contract negotiation and analysis. Required experience with WAWF, FAR/DFAR

5. Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Work Environment Requirements:

1. Full-Time Position

2. May require sitting or standing and walking for long periods throughout the day.
