Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Contracts Administrator to manage EPC contracts and related agreements from draft to completion in our Houston, TX office. You will support the EPC contracting team and attorneys, ensuring smooth workflow and timely review.

Responsibilities include processing contracts, reviewing NDAs, organizing documents, verifying insurance certificates, and distributing templates for review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with contracts experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of contracts experience in the construction or services industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting the needs of the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Driving is not required for this position.

  • Process incoming contracts and track responsibility for legal review, including prime customer contracts, subcontracts, services agreements, purchase orders, confidentiality agreements, and other agreements.
  • Review and redline Non-disclosure agreements with oversight from counsel.
  • Organize and save contract documents in the appropriate file locations.
  • Review and verify certificates of insurance received from subcontractors and other third parties.
  • Populate contract templates with the appropriate project and third-party information and distribute them to internal stakeholders and third-party partners for review and comment.
  • Assist the Sales and Procurement departments with tracking contract workflows and renewals.
  • Support legal and project personnel with contract interpretation, notices, and change orders.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Primary Function

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for processing and tracking the workflows surrounding Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts and other agreements, from initial draft through completion of the project execution phase. The position will be based in our Houston, Texas office located at 12301 Kurland Drive STE 400, Houston, TX 77034 and will report to Dashiell’s Assistant General Counsel, providing support to Dashiell’s attorneys and to the EPC contracting team on contract-related matters.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

  • Process incoming contracts and track responsibility for legal review, including prime customer contracts, subcontracts, services agreements, purchase orders, confidentiality agreements, and other agreements.
  • Review and redline Non-disclosure agreements with oversight from counsel.
  • Organize and save contract documents in the appropriate file locations.
  • Review and verify certificates of insurance received from subcontractors and other third parties.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Keep contracts moving on schedule by tracking each agreement and all exhibits through legal review and coordinating timely responses from internal and external parties.
  • Protect the company from unnecessary risk by verifying that certificates of insurance meet required terms before work proceeds.
  • Give the legal, sales, and project teams a reliable single point of coordination for contract status, renewals, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized, accessible contract records that support smooth project execution and dependable reference for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, or a related field preferred; an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies with two additional years of contracts experience, or four years of directly relevant experience, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of contracts experience in the construction or services industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to work independently while supporting the needs of the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Driving is not required for this position.
Preferred
  • Experience focused on contracts and subcontracts management.
  • Experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects in the electric power industry (transmission and distribution).
Physical Requirements
LEVEL 1 – Office (Sedentary Work)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
