Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Contracts Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of client and partner agreements, ensuring obligations and milestones are met while supporting new business opportunities. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and coordinating contract documentation, with emphasis on FAR and GSA compliance.

Work is hybrid in Bethesda, MD, with remote capability until January, and onsite two days per week thereafter.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of federal government contracting experience with contract management focus.
  • Strong understanding of FAR and GSA compliance.
  • Experience drafting contracts, subcontract agreements, and team agreements.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting compliance and tracking data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance and operations for billing accuracy and contract-related activities.
  • Coordinate documentation for audits, certifications, and quality reviews.
  • Identify contractual risks and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
  • Act as liaison for agreement-related matters with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Job Description

As a Contracts Administrator, you will manage the full lifecycle of complex client and partner agreements. This includes drafting, reviewing, and coordinating contract documentation. You will ensure that key obligations, milestones, timelines, and reporting requirements are met, while supporting the development of new business opportunities and maintaining adherence to organizational policies. Additionally, you will maintain and organize contract records, performance metrics, financial data, and critical terms throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of client and partner agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and coordinating contract documentation.
  • Monitor key obligations, milestones, timelines, and reporting requirements.
  • Support the development of new business opportunities, agreement extensions, and modifications.
  • Maintain and organize contract records, performance metrics, financial data, and critical terms.
  • Review and negotiate agreement language to ensure expectations, deliverables, and success measures are clearly outlined.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable industry standards, contractual requirements, and internal governance.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams for billing accuracy and contract-related financial activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance of documentation required for audits, certifications, and quality reviews.
  • Identify potential contractual risks and collaborate with internal stakeholders for effective resolutions.
  • Act as a primary liaison for agreement-related matters with clients, partners, and internal business teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure successful execution of contractual commitments.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders regarding contract requirements and performance expectations.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal government contracting with a focus on contract management.
  • In-depth understanding of federal contracting processes, including FAR and GSA compliance.
  • Experience in drafting contracts, subcontract agreements, and team agreements.
  • Familiarity with federal government compliance requirements and tracking contractual data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working with federal contracting systems such as SAM and FPDS.
  • Knowledge of small business certifications and set-aside programs (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB).
Work Environment

This position is 100% remote until the beginning of January, after which it will require onsite work two days a week (Tuesday & Thursday) in Bethesda.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethesda, MD.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.69/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
