Job summary

Curtiss-Wright SAS in Summerville, SC is seeking a Contracts Administrator, Lead to manage assigned contracts and changes, ensuring compliance with government and commercial requirements. Under minimal direction, you will lead negotiations, analyze costs, and coordinate with internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 7-12 years of contract experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearances.

  • Leads proposal development activities and pricing in response to customer requests.
  • Develops and executes negotiation strategies with management.
  • Maintains solid relationships with customers as the primary contact.

Curtiss-Wright SAS is searching for a Contracts Administrator, Lead., to support its Commercial Business Segment. Under minimal direction, this position will administer assigned contracts and required changes, ensuring compliance with government and/or commercial contract requirements.

Salary: $99,000-$143,000

Your Responsibilities
  • Analyzes estimates of material, equipment and production costs.
  • Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
  • Initiates documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications.
  • Completes contract negotiations of moderate complexity.
  • Independent participation in audits for internal and/or external compliance requirements.
  • Ensure routine and major contracts conform with standard terms and review non-standard contracts to ensure conformance with corporate contract principles.
  • Recommend alternative language to address customer requirements within corporate and division guidelines with supervision.
  • Interpret regulations in relation to contracts.
  • Lead proposal development activities, data compilation, analysis and application to develop pricing proposals in response to customer requests.
  • Draft and issue large proposals with limited supervision.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies with management.
  • Lead discussion on functional topics within internal team.
  • Ensure solid relationship with customers as primary contact and demonstrate problem‑solving skills with issues.
  • Understand the interrelationships of ERP contract inputs with other modules.
  • Supports onboarding of less experienced contracts professionals through information sharing and informal on the job training.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing procedures.
What you Bring
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Law, or another related field.
  • 7-12 years of applicable contract experience.
  • Government or Commercial Nuclear contracts experience preferred.
  • Negotiation Experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of MS office.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines.
