Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the outside sales program and provide professional customer service to contractors.

This role acts as the store contact by offering product advice, preparing estimates, and processing orders to ensure timely delivery and accurate take-offs from blueprints.

A friendly, team-oriented candidate who can multitask and work weekends/holidays is essential to help meet sales goals; full-time benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sales/customer service environment
• Previous knowledge and experience in the building materials industry
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction practices
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work activities
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with contractor customers by providing superior customer service.
• Acts as a point of contact at the store by supplying advice and information on products, estimates and delivery scheduling.
• Ensures all lines of communication are tied together.
• Assists the outside sales program to ensure that sales and profit goals are met.
• Processes orders and ensures that materials are available for timely shipment.
• Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed.
• Performs material take-offs from blueprints and reviews construction documents to support accurate bids.
