Carter Lumber is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the outside sales program and provide professional customer service to contractors. The role involves acting as a point of contact for sales representatives and customers, offering advice, preparing estimates, and processing orders.

The position requires experience in sales/customer service, knowledge of building materials, and ability to read blueprints. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales/customer service environment.
• Knowledge of the building materials industry is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction practices.
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work activities.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the outside sales program and provide professional customer service to contractors.
• Supply advice, estimates and processing orders; be a contact for outside sales representatives.
• Handle sales transactions, inventory control and communication to ensure timely shipments.
• Perform material take-offs from blueprints and assist with accurate bids.
• Participate in training and growth opportunities within the company.
