Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) to manage security administration and ensure compliance for SCI/SAP programs at its McLean, Virginia headquarters. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, proactive mission support, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include security governance, SOP/ConOps development, accreditation for facilities, and a thorough understanding of sponsor regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s; or a PhD.
• Experience developing SOPs and ConOps.
• Experience in Special Programs, SCI/SAP security, or Collateral Security.
• Experience conducting and managing government security inspections.
• Experience with IC Standards or DoD directives and NISPOM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work with all management levels.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• On-site requirement: 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Be listed as Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) of record for SCI and SAP information to the program.
• Engage with sponsor security to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines.
• Develop SOPs/ConOps and maintain accreditation documentation.
• Supervise operation of the security area and administer SCI/SAP program.
• Manage documentation for facilities and programs under cognizance.
