Contractor And Industrial Representative - Major Projects - South East Region

Position Overview

This role offers an opportunity to transition from private, public, government, or military experience into a career at 3M. As a C&I Major Projects Professional, you will collaborate with innovative teams globally and make a significant impact through project management and sales support in the South East Region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage assigned regional projects as the Major Project Representative (MPR).
  2. Utilize Salesforce to track project activities and sales impact, collaborating with local C&I representatives.
  3. Participate in specification and hands-on project work at job sites.
  4. Lead relationships with key accounts, including owners, specifiers, and end users.
  5. Support regional sales efforts, including project targeting, distribution strategies, and pricing advice.
  6. Promote the use of Construction Services to enhance sales profitability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (verified prior to start).
  • Minimum five years of experience in the electrical industry, dealing with contractors, distributors, engineers, and large projects.
  • Technical expertise with medium voltage cable accessories.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and conducting technical training.
Additional Details
  • Location: Remote, field-based in the South East Region.
  • Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel.
  • Relocation assistance may be provided.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Benefits & Compensation

The estimated annual salary range is $164,612 - $201,193, including base pay and potential incentives. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, and more. Specific offers depend on experience, skills, and location.
