Job summary

Williams College is seeking a Contracting Specialist to join the newly formed Department of Risk Management, Insurance, and Procurement. This inaugural role focuses on centralized contract management across the campus community.

Responsibilities include collaborating with departments, generating RFPs, bid analysis, contract development, and training faculty and staff in contract processes. The role requires five years of contract administration experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• At least five years in contract administration.
• Experience drafting and editing contracts; alter boilerplate Terms of Service.
• Guide stakeholders to define needs and evaluate bids objectively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments to map the current contracting landscape.
• Prepare RFP docs, bid recordkeeping, analyze bids, present options.
• Assist in selecting final bids and clarify bidding process questions.
• Develop and maintain a contract database.
• Create and deliver training on contract management processes and policy.
